Olin Chlor Alkali Products and Vinyls, a division of Olin Corporation, has two openings at the Charleston, Tennessee manufacturing facility for two Production Engineers. The Production Engineer provides process technical expertise for day-to-day plant operations, ensures that the plant is operated within applicable standards and focuses on process improvements.

Essential Job Functions:
Production Engineers are responsible for process stewardship over assigned areas including technical documentation, operating procedures, KPIs, process training, safe operating limits and EHS compliance and provide trouble-shooting and technical support to operations and maintenance supervisors to ensure plant operating objectives are achieved, including shutdowns. He or she will facilitate process and product quality improvement initiatives, including use of Statistical Process Control techniques and detailed process studies.
This role provides process and design support for projects as assigned and will participate in continuous learning to remain proficient in rapidly changing production and process principles and software in the industry. He or she will provide process support for engineering, design, construction and commissioning of systems and equipment start-ups and support company Olin Responsible Care (EHS&S) initiatives, including Emergency Response activities within assigned products (chlorine and caustic).
Production Engineers relieve operations supervisors as necessary and mentor junior level engineers.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Chemical Engineering discipline preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Process Engineering role required; chlor alkali process or chemical plant experience preferred.
Demonstrated use of inventory software, order processing systems, project management software, spreadsheet and Microsoft Office systems; SAP experience preferred.
Experience in chlor alkali technology is desired including demonstrated trouble-shooting and operations support skills.
Distributed Control System (Delta V preferred) and Process Controls skills and knowledge preferred
Familiarity and experience with data management systems (Pi) preferred.
Experience in SPC charting preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with personnel, customers and external contractors
Must possess analytical abilities and problem resolution skills; ability to apply mathematical concepts and interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions
Proven ability to lead, empower and engage others in process methods and procedures
Must be able to obtain TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
Degree must be from a school that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the Secretary of Education of the U.S. Department of Education

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
