Quality Manager

This position is responsible for managing the quality programs, procedures, policies, and regulations for all solar and semi-conductor products to ensure customer expectations are met for the site. This position will ensure effective quality management systems (IMS and ISO 9001, 14001). and seek to improve quality programs for new or existing products. Quality team members will report to this role. This role reports directly to the Charleston VP Polysilicon/Site Manager, and functionally to the head of Quality for the Polysilicon Division to ensure global alignment Quality groups in Burghausen and Nuenchritz (Germany). Your Tasks  Provide overall leadership and guidance of Quality department according to company guidelines. Plan, steer, and coordinate workflows to establish quality awareness and clean processes. Participate in the development and implementation of the Quality strategy and Polysilicon business plan, and lead of working groups to solve quality problems and accomplish quality improvements.  Align quality goals and constantly improve performance, manage compliance with high quality standards, including regular supervision of work processes in assigned production areas, systematic data analysis, benchmarking, documentation, audits, and SPC for early trend detection, immediately initiate required counter action,  Manages all aspects of the SPC processes, including conducting analysis, analyzing data, and making system improvements or recommendations for improvements.  Prepare and lead various meetings with other stakeholders to drive Quality programs at that site, as well as drive Global cooperation and alignment with sites BGH and NUN  Participate in the prevention and remedy of quality problems through technical contributions and management/moderation of the respective problem-solving team. Provide advice to users applying quality tools such as PTN, PAN, PVN, FMEA, or QFD.  Participate in the resolution of customer problems, participate in MRBs, and ensure effectiveness of corrective measures.  Promote a culture of continuous improvement. Ensure proper transfer of best practices through alignment between all BD-P sites.  Continuously improve processes at CHA site in regard to quality, cost, and EHSS performance. Adapt quality scope and standards to changes in product complexity, regulatory requirements, and cost roadmap goals.  Ensure department EHS compliance including ZAP and WSP participation, incident investigations and follow up, and PSM compliance. Participate in monthly EHSS Steering Committee meeting. Your Profile  B.S. Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Quality related degree required, Masters or higher preferred.  Requires 5+ years Quality management experience in a chemical plant  Requires detailed knowledge of integrated production systems (raw-product manufacturing and distillation)  Requires knowledge of analytical processes, statistics, and computer-aided data analysis  Knowledge of the fundamentals of polysilicon and/or chlorosilane production, strongly preferred.  Strong leadership, teamwork, organization, and group facilitation skills  Green Belt required, Black Belt strongly preferred,  Pronounced ability to think analytically and work systematically  Strong verbal and written communication skills  Good interpersonal skills  Capable of professionally dealing with changing priorities and scope requirements. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
