Human Resources Manager

The HR Manager is an experienced, high level generalist and engaged business partner. The successful person in this position will be a proactive contributor and problem solver, and demonstrate personal leadership towards achieving our company vision, mission, and objectives. This HR Manager will be a key leader toward driving an optimal, value-based culture and high-performance organization. The HR Manager will support the entire site and provide hands-on leadership and effort in executing Wacker's people strategy in alignment with business objectives. This position reports to the Human Resources Director and serves as the deputy to the Director. Your Tasks  Serve as a Human Resources Business Partner to the site leadership team.  Build effective working relationships across the organization, and a solid business acumen for the operation and overall WACKER organization.  Promote a positive work environment through compliance with WACKER standards and ensuring fair and consistent administration of policies and practices, and be accountable for motivating and stimulating supervisors and managers to ensure consistent, equal, and fair treatment of their employees.  Provides a regular, visible presence to all employees across the site  Manage and collaborate on activities associated with leadership development, employee relations, change management and operational excellence processes for the business unit.  Maintain policies, procedures, and programs relating to the human resources of the site, and ensure alignment to the needs of the business.  Partner with the HR Director and other HR team members to support the daily and ongoing needs of the business  Review and maintain various compensation programs, including pay, bonus, and offer recommendations  Assist in managing the immigration and global mobility programs for the site  Counsel leaders and individuals using a systematic approach to understanding, approaching, and solving employee/supervisor problems.  Manage specific projects as determined in the HR planning process and participate in functional and cross-functional initiatives  Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings  Develops and maintains Human Resources related KPI's and Metrics, as well as complete periodic reports and summaries  Provide comprehensive data-driven insights, analysis, and recommendations to the HR team and site leaders  Develop and implement proactive, value added initiatives to drive/compliment site KPI's and department objectives  Maintain human resource records, keeping past and current records.  Develops, or assists in developing, and deliver communication plans to the organization  Periodically engages with department leaders and / or HR Director to assess organizational structure(s), making recommendations and adjustments to organizational design and job descriptions as needed  Participate in the interview and selection process of new hires  Partner with the HR Director and Talent Management COE regarding talent assessment, career development and succession planning processes  Drive retention and reward and recognition initiatives throughout business unit  Work with site leadership to ensure that we provide a safe work environment for employees  Other duties as assigned or necessary. Your Profile Education and Experience  Requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business or related field, Master's degree preferred  Experience in leading and developing others, including teams of people  Minimum 8 years in the Human Resources field - generalist and HR business partner activity  Experience in a manufacturing organization strongly preferred.  Knowledge of employment laws and practices  Demonstrated expertise in MS Excel and Word applications required, SAP HR preferred  PHR or SPHR certification preferred Key Success Factors and Attributes  Demonstrate integrity in all business interactions and honors personal commitments  Demonstrate strong HR generalist skills and abilities  Possess knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems  Ability to handle multiple, complex projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment  Ability to balance strategic thinking with achieving results.  Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information  Ability to reach agreements and consensus despite differing goals and priorities  Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as a team member  Proven effective ability to build relationships and influence thinking within an organization  Proven ability to drive consensus around difficult issues  Able to establish and manage priorities and expectations of demanding client groups  Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem solving capabilities  Strong communications skills - interpersonal, presentation, written, spoken  Strong credibility and professional competence with HR and operations management  Effective facilitation, teambuilding and networking skills  Thorough understanding of US and state human resources legislation and practices  Strong internal customer-focus  #LI-RH1

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
