Olin Chlor Alkali Products & Vinyls, a division of Olin Corporation, has an opening for an EHS&S Manager located in Charleston, Tennessee. The EHS&S Manager provides process technical expertise for day-to-day plant operations, ensures that the plant is operated within applicable standards and focuses on process improvements.

Essential Job Functions
Working within corporate/division strategies and policy frameworks, designs, proposes and implements health, security, safety, process safety and environmental site action plans, strategies, guidelines and procedures to meet EHS&S requirements supporting short and long-term business needs and consistent with the site Risk Profile
Ensures that Guiding Principles of Responsible Care are the basis of the location's EHS&S Management System and that the criteria required of Responsible Care are met
Ensures the site ORC (Olin Responsible Care) team provides technical EHS&S expertise and coaching to facilitate broad accountability of the EHS&S process
Ensures site compliance with all regulatory EHS&S permits and requirements
Drives programs for overall employee engagement in ORC at the site
Ensures site ORC continuous improvement, including the consideration of sustainability, energy efficiency and waste minimization
Develops department's budget on the basis of operational needs, identifying the resources required to meet such needs
Prepares reports in accordance with the company policies and submits by required deadlines
Prepares governmental reports and participates in representation with outside agencies
Maintains knowledge of laws and regulations affecting the organization's operations and works with Division to execute plans to achieve compliance
Participates in plant and Division audits and interfaces with internal and external auditors and regulatory and government agency personnel
Collaborates with employees and supervisors to identify and correct potential environmental, safety, security and health hazards
Ensures robust and pertinent transparency of site EHS&S matters and metrics to the Site Leadership Team and Division
Participates in developing corrective measures and driving actions to completion and sustainment
Investigates major accidents or problem areas and recommends future preventive measures
Advises management on government regulations relating to Safety, Process Safety, Health, Security and Environmental and recommends necessary action to attain compliance
Develops programs for environmental remedial action and leads teams for critical incidents (evaluation of needs, provides communication, etc.)
Participates on Plant leadership team and in numerous weekly conference calls and meetings (Management Review, etc.)
Responsible for Site Emergency Response Team and Emergency Response Plan
Responsible, in conjunction with the Plant leadership team, for training compliance at the location
Represents the organization at external local forums and gathers information to inform policy
Participates in reviewing and interviewing potential candidates and coordinates with Human Resources and interview team to select the best internal or external candidates for the job
Provides direct and/or indirect development and supervision
Manages and motivates staff; reviews and assesses performance, develops and builds employee skills, supports their professional development and enables employees to optimize their contribution to the department
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree required; safety, technical or management discipline strongly preferred. Master's Degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years related Safety, Health, Security and Environmental experience in a manufacturing environment required. Prior chemical industry experience highly preferred.
Management experience highly preferred.
Ability to offer guidance on all aspects of Safety, Health, Security and Environmental issues
Effective leadership skills and demonstrated ability to develop Safety, Health, Security and Environmental staff
Strong US regulatory/compliance experience
Ability to understand and prioritize initiatives
Team player and builder
Flexible and adaptable; able to deal with ambiguity
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, verbally and in writing
Behavior-based safety processes knowledge
Knowledge of EHS&S regulations including OSHA, EPA, PSM, RMP, DOT, FMSCA and hazardous transportation regulations
Emergency response, first aid, fire safety or security experience
Root Cause facilitator experience a plus
Basic computer skills including use of Microsoft Office Products required; SAP preferred
Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
Must meet the physical requirements including, but not limited to, climbing stairs and ladders.
Degree must be from a school that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the Secretary of Education of the U.S. Department of Education

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
