The Charleston (CHA) site Productivity Manager position will lead productivity and cost savings efforts within manufacturing, service, utilities, supplies, and other business areas to reduce overall site costs with support and guidance from CHA leadership. The Productivity Manager evaluates performance, identifies opportunities, and coordinates site improvement ideas and projects. This position is also focused on improving safety and environmental stability while reducing cost. The Productivity Manager will ensure continuous improvement of profitability and value for the entire CHA site through a more intensive use of productivity tools in all functional units and production departments. In addition, this position is responsible for efficiency and effectiveness of systems and processes, including coaching of CHA six sigma projects. Job
Responsibilities:
Aligns productivity and business priorities consistent with BP1/BP5 planning. Defines key targets to improve profitability and value. Integrates productivity tools in all CHA departments and operating areas. Leads CHA team in utilizing Six Sigma, LEAN, 5S, and SI2 programs. Lead and perform key-user functions with specialized computer software; Lead and participate in projects/project management. Support team member lean six sigma training. Coaches project leaders on implementation of projects. Responsible for efficiency and effectiveness of systems and processes. Prodictivity program leadership and management. Tracks, monitors, and updates performance. Responsible for site reporting of KPIs. Leads cross functional projects updates and reviews. Coordinates implementation and resources. Identifies, plans, coordinates, and drives cost reduction projects and productivity and efficiency measures to meet targets. Leads cross functional teams in evaluating performance, identifying opportunities, and driving continuous improvement efforts. Communicates and collaborates with all site and corporate departments. Responsible for improving efficiency in a safe and environmentally friendly and stable manner while reducing costs. Apply modern methods (FMEA, QFD, other quantitative methods) as a service for site departments as needed. Other duties as required. Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Technical, Supply Chain, or Chemical field; Master s degree in Technical, Supply Chain or Chemical field strongly preferred 7 yrs engineering/manufacturing experience 7
years of professional experience in a manufacturing facility Proven process improvement and cost savings in a manufacturing company required Extensive computer skills (SAP, PC software, especially material requirements planning software Project Management LEAN Six Sigma Black Belt required Demonstrate technical competency in the areas of safety, quality, and process improvement Excellent project- and time management skills, communication, and teamwork skills Flexibility and ability to work under pressure; demonstrate a can-do attitude Ability to manage complex interfaces between organizations with conflicting prioritieis to achieve overall improvement Basic knowledge in accounting/financial analysis
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Plant & Facilities Management, Supply Chain & LogisticsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
